(Update. The Festival went very good this year. Thank you to all that heard the organ out on the street thanks to the outdoor speakers and commented on how nice it sounded. Thanks also to those that purchased copies of my brand new Christmas album A New Old Christmas, now available. I hope to see even more people next year)
It’s that time of the year again. The Micanopy Fall Festival is almost upon us. It is on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. As in years gone by, I will be performing on both days at the Episcopal church – located in the middle point of the road, just across from the Herlong Mansion.
This year, the Episcopal church has asked me to play their new organ. No, it won’t be just church music and it won’t be just an organ you here. This organ has quite a few sounds not found on most traditional church organs. I’ll be playing some of the selections from my solo organ album as well as other arrangements I’ve written as well as other titles. You may also hear some of my albums being played over the organ’s speakers.
On Saturday, come early. I’ll be playing from around 9:00am until 12noon, maybe a bit later. (The festival isn’t terribly formal for times). I will most likely also be playing after 3:00pm as well. On Sunday, I’ll be playing for an hour or so before 11am and then in the afternoon from around 1:00pm on.
While there, take a look at my seven albums that will be available for purchase, including my latest, A New Old Christmas, my first Christmas/Holiday album. Be sure to stop in and say hi too.
